Last Year Before Reality, No Time For Love, Behind the Broken Cross, Trying My Hardest, Knowing the Rules of the Game and Unwise Counsel are books written by author and publisher, Conrad Prophet, that span two decades.

With the exception of Unwise Counsel (his latest release) and Knowing the Rules of the Game (nonfiction), the author's books take readers on an odyssey chronicling the life of one man - Rene Anthony Davis, an intriguing character who is the fictional inspiration behind Prophet’s writings. Each book chronicles events from Rene's life - including lifelong relations with his closest friends - and the love of his life, Bridgette Tate.

From deep secrets to deceit to betrayal to romance, these books unveil the explicit, sordid, calculated, and sometimes lighthearted details of Rene’s life that follow him from high school to manhood to marriage and family.

Conrad’s writings first began as a pastime yet continue to evolve. Each book was published by The Prophet Group, LLC Publishing Company, established and operated by the author. The Prophet Group is soon to release the prequel to Prophet’s latest book, Unwise Counsel (2020).

Conrad is a native of Royal Oak Township by way of Inkster, Michigan. He is a United States Army veteran, and a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University. He resides in Metro-Detroit.
